Working on Nerea

Today I worked on the modification for the last as I would like to change the shape slightly.

Yesterday I went and looked at what heel blocks I had to choose from in Adelaide. I have a limited choice here, but many options elsewhere. I have to either decide on the heels I bought, or venture into interstate/overseas options. Not sure that I am that desperate to do that for the moment.

Here is my chosen heel for Kate:

 It is not quite what I had originally hoped for, but I think it will turn out really well.

These are what I may do for Nerea:                                                                                        

If I were to use them, I would need to have a 10mm platform at the forepart of the shoe. I am not sure if I do want a platform. I would also need to adjust the shape of the heel to make it suit the last. I would be easily able to get a heel that I would rather made, but that involves more money that I do not currently have, so I might do that for post student shoes!

Kate

My cousin Kate is getting married at the end of this year. I am planning a pair of shoes to wear to the wedding. They will feature as part of my range. I am undecided what colour I will have. I would like black, red or a dark navy. I will also need to locate a material to use for the upper in order to the get the same effect. They will be really high (well for me atleast) the heel height is 100mm. It will be a mix of leather and material in the upper which I am excited to try as I have only used leather.

First day of new year

Today we went back to Tafe. We are working on our briefs for this semesters projects. We are making 4 pairs for our range and a 5th for a project with Rossi Boots.

There needs to be a theme for our range. I am going to make 4 pairs of heels for myself at 80mm height, including any platforms.

This is the last and my inspiration for my first pair. They are going to be called Nerea as I am hoping to wear them to Granada for my cousis's wedding to a girl called Nerea. I am going to use the idea of the upper, but I am using a different heel shape and adding a 10mm platform to the forpart.

Changes

I am trying to change the appearance of my blog. I lost the new post function and have just relocated. When I am no longer angry with the computer I will come back and try to change it again.
